The National Foundation for Development and Humanitarian Response (NFDHR) has been working hard to open three community centers in order to provide protection services to the displaced people in the Al Bayda and Dhamar Governorates. Two of the centers, which are located in Al-Bayda City, in Al Bayda governorate and Al-Ahad City in the district of Wasab Al-Saffl in Dhamar Governorate are already open and running. The third center is scheduled to open the in the coming days in the city of Mashrafah in Wasab Al-Saffal.

The establishment and function of the three community centers are a part of the Emergency Response Project for the Protection of Displaced People and those Most Vulnerable in the Governorates of Al Bayda and Dammar, funded by the Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF). The project aims to provide protection services to 15,360 displaced and other vulnerable people in the target areas. The services provided by community centers will include: cash assistance to those at greatest risk of harm, and civilian victims of war; identification and referral of persons with special needs, including women, children, the elderly and people with disabilities to the service providers; and assistances to those who do not have civilian documents to extract their personal documents.
