A Condemnation Statement

Among a series of raids by Saudi coalition warplanes on civilians and civilian facilities, the warplanes committed a new crime by targeting a popular market in Al-Hodeida province, which led to kill 22 civilians, and injure 10 others that happened on Friday, March 10, 2017.

Legal Center for Rights and Development condemns the continuation of Saudi alliance in targeting the markets and civilian facilities, and continue killing of civilians in light of the silence of the United Nations and its ignorance these violations that constitute war crimes and crimes against humanity, which should take the coalition to international courts so the perpetrators can’t escape of such crimes and not to overlook the perpetrators of these crimes who have made the silence of the United Nations as a pretext to continue committing more crimes against civilians and civilian facilities.

Two years of airstrikes that killed nearly 12,041 civilians, including 1870 women, 2568 children, and injured 20,001, including 1960 women and 2354 children, in addition to, thousands of hospitals, schools, markets and civilian facilities that are destroyed by those airstrikes.

The legal center calls on the local and international organizations including the United Nations to do their humanitarian duties also the defense and protection of human rights and punishing the perpetrators of such crimes as soon as possible for violating them the conventions and international humanitarian laws.
